Last week, we discussed how to park facing downhill<\/a>. For this week’s tutorial, we will be teaching you how to do parking facing uphill with a curb! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Find a parking spot<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Do a quick scan of the area and find a spot that has enough room for you to safely park<\/a> in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Use your right turn signal<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Signal right so that the drivers and pedestrians around you know that you are planning to park<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Carefully steer to the right and position your car in the spot<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Do this when the area is clear and it is safe to do so. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: Check the side mirror<\/a> and surroundings, then steer<\/a> to the left before you hit the curb<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This step allows you to straighten your car in the parking spot<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: Since you\u2019re parking uphill with a curb<\/a>, face wheels towards the left<\/a>.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This will prevent your car from skidding dangerously while you are parked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6: Park gear, handbrake<\/a>, and turn off your engine<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
